I offer traditional talk therapy for individuals residing in the state of California. Currently all sessions are conducted via teletherapy using a secure HIPAA-compliant platform.

EMDR Therapy

Trauma creates change you didn’t choose, and healing is about creating change you do choose. EMDR differs from traditional talk therapy because it uses less verbal processing and helps you tap into your body’s natural healing processes. Currently all sessions are conducted via teletherapy using a secure HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • It’s a huge step to reach out for help and you deserve the support. The first step is to complete an inquiry form here for a free 15-minute consultation. During this time, I will explore your current needs and ensure we are a good fit. Please note I am only accepting clients who reside in California at this time.

  • I am a private pay provider and do not directly bill insurance for treatment. I find that this allows for more privacy as well as more control in our work together. If you have a PPO, I can provide a superbill that you could submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. I recommend calling your insurance to find out what reimbursement will look like for an out-of-network provider, as reimbursement is not always guaranteed. If you’re hoping to find an in-network provider, Good Therapy or Psychology Today are helpful directories.

  • $150 for a 55-minute individual therapy or EMDR therapy session. I reserve a few spots for a sliding scale fee, and my hope is to work with you to find a way to make therapy financially sustainable.

  • During our first session together, we will review intake paperwork and discuss any questions you may have about the process of therapy. We will also spend time discussing therapeutic treatment goals to work towards as well as treatment approaches that will best support your healing. Currently all sessions are offered via teletherapy using a secure HIPAA platform (Simple Practice).

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based treatment for different mental health disorders including PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, and grief. This approach is not limited to these issues and has been shown to help reduce negative beliefs as a result of traumatic or stressful experiences. Trauma makes it hard to live our everyday life. Research suggests that EMDR can improve your quality of life by rewiring your triggers and decreasing how much you think about a past traumatic event. It's easier to function when your brain has stored past intense experiences in a way that is adaptive to your current situation, which EMDR therapy supports.
